Penang & Langkawi (MALAYSIA)

Penang


We arrived in Penang after seeing this note on the bus..


Then we watched a very strange play outside a temple..


Saw a KitKat van...

Then decided we weren't big fans of Penang (Well..Georgetown in particular) so went
to the cinema and watched Salt and also Inception (great film!). We stayed the night
and then left for Langkawi:




Our hut for 4 nights with air-con, 20m from the beach and only 8 pounds a night! :D




Our hire car for one day, it could really move!


Not the best day for a cable car trip




At least the view down wasn't as cloudy!




At the top of the waterfall is the Seven Wells, where you just slide down
the limestone and take a break from the heat in the cold water pools.


Black sand beach..apparently it's to do with the chemicals from
the mountain coming down in the rain??


Ziad finally managed to get us on a kayak!! So we paddled
around the islands in search of new beaches.


Sunset walks and watching the locals play football whilst we chill out and have a few beers
